We were given a golden globe of magnificence.
Perfect in shape and balanced in the universe.
The colours of our world are gorgeous in their
majesty
Giving life, food and shelter abundantly.
Why do we plunder our earth so willfully?
Raping the land, rivers and seas, so stupidly.
Senselessly, savagely ravaging polluting
And now our world, we are in grave danger of
losing.
Our cities, on balance, are ugly filthy places;
The air thick with unwanted bacteria and viruses.
Diseases spread between man and now in places
From animals, and birds to man; germ
mutations.
Our seas are silting up, our lakes and rivers the
same,
Much verdant land, man has made a poisonous
brown.
Parts of our beautiful world have disappeared all
together.
And at the same time, we are murdering one
another.
What manner of beings are we, to destroy this
gift;
Which we should love, honour, protect and
respect.
