My tongue is not caught up on entrails of others distain,
But loose to say the truth, without fear of commands of refrain.
Asking searching questions about people who may have lied,
The satisfaction to face reality, to poke at hypocrisy, is joy personified.
I am free to be me; be gone from my sight, those who wish to muzzle me.
Nuggets of wisdom and knowledge from others we glean,
Scattered over the airwaves as gifts, to our friends unseen.
Sometimes, catching Dave’s mischievous eye I wait for the inevitable jibes;
They come with fun, and kindness, radiating golden vibes.
Happy Christmas Dave
