The Boy Who Wouldn’t Stop Watching TV

Hour after hour, The Boy watched TV,

Lying on the couch, drinking Pepsi,

Potato crisps and popcorn, his only company,

Watching and munching, was his favourite hobby.

He was told he’d get fat, and acquire square eyes

He dismissed this, as wasn’t in the TV guide.

Sadly one day, he rolled off the settee

Unable to move, then was stung by a bee.

While trying to pull himself up from the floor,

His mother watched sadly, from the door.

He realised then, how unfit he’d become,

Making him feel awful, and incredibly glum.

He thought to himself, he must change his ways,

No more would he sit at home, and laze.

The news of an exercise class, took his gaze;

Now in the gym, where for hours, he stays.

The Boy now a man became incredibly fit,

Strong as Tarzan an international hit;

Promoting fitness all over the world;

The Boy’s story I have now unfurled.
