The Boy Who Wouldn’t Be Bad

The Boy was urged by his friends, to be bad.

Instead his face grew very sad,

His heart told him, he mustn’t go down their path,

What they did, didn’t make him laugh.

They were very bad, he thought them mad;

They teased and were horrid to other lads,

For the young and weak, the boy would stand;

Became top of school, head of all, he would later land.

As they didn’t care, and were naughty;

Their future was indeed gloomy.

Unhappy in their jobs and in work

Others in prison, they later lurked.

The moral of this verse, is not to be naughty,

If you are good; happy will be your life’s story.
