The teacher is speaking gobbledegook,
I am not following anything at all.
My brain I feel, has been mauled.
Her stern eyes smoulder into mine,
Embarrassed and ashamed, I feel this much of the time.
I am stupid, my class mates must know I’m sub normally bad.
This I’m reminded, every day by my Dad.
The familiar blush races up my neck to my face;
She demands to know my thoughts, she’s on my case!
Sweet relief, the bell rings and I head for the door, in hast.
