The Black flag

The black flag of evil flutters in the breeze of hate, that it creates.
A body of pure evil threatens God fearing people;
And those who know, cringe at awful deeds about to be bestowed.
This pervasive cancer in the east is gathering a pace.
Under the guise of disciples of God
Are beheading crucifying and destroying.
Perpetrating hate and fear in neighbouring nations,
They in turn to protect their innocent citizens, call for help against this advancing army;
With revulsion and loathing in their hearts bent on killing
The fearful black flag of evil flutters in the breeze, of lawful murdering.
Where are the great diplomats of yore are they no more?
Abandoned Syrian citizens forced to flee with their lives.
The rebels, no match against the might of Assad’s arms:
Petrifying desolation, fine air for this new evil to flourish.
The West, bereft of intelligence or decision making inept, angels wept,
Seeing nations stooping low to this devil’s level;
Leaders vowing to eradicate this scourge in the world
Behold, more black flags of evil fluttering in the breeze.
