Meeting

We met so long a go, the Gods ordained it so.
Together we were meant to be, for a moment or longer in eternity.
Loving and living and dancing in harmony
You are so young and I am old.
You are black and I am white, are we bisexual, that’s irrelevant;
We are entwined, etched faintly or deeply but always indelibly.
That second of empathy, clashing of symbols
Respecting of egos, faults and frailties;
When we look into each others eyes
It’s a fleeting moment in world history.
A loving so sweet, spawning an energy strong,
Merging with others to come, and those who have gone.
