The Present

If I could, I would present you, with all your
aspirations;
Parceled up in protective silk, that I would use
for wrapping.
Also, my gift for you on your birthday, would be a
pledge of friendship unwavering;
Totally unconditional, as my feelings for you are
unswerving.
So, I want to fly away to the isle of Capri,
To lick my wounds and there contented be.
And time will heal my pain, the sting,
That I hurt you, for in fear, I gave you nothing.
You suggested we talk, but there is no need,
I must have time to gather myself together;
But remember, I will always be there for you;
Just as you, are always there for others.
