The Flame

A flicker of a fledgling flame of an idea came.
Would it take hold and gather strength and fame?
Spread strongly climb burning emblazing, not
tame.
But to grow the idea as the flame, different but
the same
If fed with sweet life giving air and fine fuel
cannot fail, but succeed.
Or would it waiver and falter and die?
No one to feed the embers of the dieing fire of an
idea.
Snuffed out before it had a chance of success;
Envy, bad management, neglect, discouragement,
Death to the weakening fire of desire.
But love, care, air feeds the flame, the idea,
So it burns and grows and dominates;
Like the burning crackling fire in the furnace.
