Waiting for you

The long morning quickly gathers a pace,
Late afternoon, then suddenly closing of the day.
Magic rolls down from the hills of Akrounta;
Twilight becomes darkness, all is perfectly still;
Black velvet night envelopes our world;
And tiny bright spots of light, awake from across
the valley,
Proclaiming an evening of friendship, a special
You are here at last, what joy to have you close,
To relax, to be ourselves, to reminisce laugh and
share a joke.
There is a trust, which is unspoken,
A bond that binds; I hope never to be broken.
Your friendship for me, is as a surging stream,
Vital, stimulating, exciting!
